PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a brush which can maintain high antistatic functions and anti-block functions for a long period of time. SOLUTION: Thermoplastics based pellets (specific volume resistivity is 101-1010Ω.cm) containing conductive carbon black of 10 wt.% or less are predried (S1), and heated and kneaded in a cylinder barrel of an extruder to obtain a paste (S2). At that time, foreign matters in the paste are removed by means of a screen of 50-200 meshes, while the paste is straightened, following which the paste is extruded through a die at a predetermined pressure to obtain linear members (S3). The members are stretched at a draw ratio of 7 or less and cooled to a desired length (S4), and thereafter the linear members are heat treated to obtain bristles (S5). The bristles are fitted in a base of brush having a shape corresponding to an item to be treated (S6) to complete a brush.
