PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus capable of corresponding to various recording modes and various demands. SOLUTION: Ink cartridges having various features such as fixing properties, a dot diameter, a color or the like other than printing density are prepared to be set in an ink jet printer corresponding to a user's demand and specified on the side of the printer. Since viscosity, surface tension and a fixing time are different at every ink, proper head control considering these characteristics is performed to achieve the printing corresponding to a user's demand. |
