PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facing-upward position externally turning holder capable of comfortably holding a lateral position of a patient in an externally turning position for a long time. SOLUTION: A lateral position externally turning holder 10 has a supporting leg 12 and a leg resting portion 14 provided thereon. The leg resting portion 14 is constructed to form a space for inserting one leg of a patient under the leg resting portion 14. The other leg of the patient is put on the leg resting portion 14. In such construction, when the patient takes a lateral position, the lower limb is in an externally turning position. Since the leg resting portion 14 is supported by a stable supporting leg 12, the weight of the leg of the patient, put on the leg resting portion 14, is free from loading on the other leg inserted in the leg resting portion 14, eliminating the possibility of applying pressure thereto and allowing the lateral position to be held in the externally turning position with ease. |
