PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of noise at the time of ascending or descending of stairs as well as improving the feeling of walking thereon. SOLUTION: A cushioning member 3 is interposed between a substrate 1 and a surface member 2. A non-slip member 6 of substantially L-shape in section composed of a horizontal part 4 having an arbitral length and a vertcial part 5 longer than the thicknesses of the members 2, 3 is mounted to a tread from its upper surface to its front surface. The vertical part of the non-slip member covers the front surface of the cushioning member and can slide along the front surface of the tread. Spacers 9, 9' having approximately the same thickness with the cushioning member 3 can be arranged between the substrate 1 and the surface member 2 at both lengthwise ends of the tread or the rear end in the short side thereof. |
