LASER BEAM MACHINING APPARATUS AND HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and properly provide a laser beam and a welding arc toward a part to be welded by using one laser beam machining head without affecting the lens system. SOLUTION: The laser beam from the laser beam machining system is divided into two, with TIG head 17 being arranged between them, and gathered. The laser beam welding and the arc welding are carried out at the same time with both heads always pointing toward the same welded part, regardless of any change in the welded part and the welding position. Both the laser beam and the welding arc are simultaneously and properly supplied through one laser beam machining 13 toward the welded part without affecting the lens system so that the higher machining efficiency is attained by the improvement of other machine workabilities.
