<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle with a continuously variable transmission capable of preventing disorder feeling in association with direct releasing of a fluid coupler as well as improving decelerating feeling of the vehicle, in the vehicle connected to the fluid coupler which is directly connected to a driving shaft of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: When directly coupled clutch is in a directly coupled condition, a change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission is gradually largely controlled so as to hold the rotating speed of an internal combustion engine to prescribed rotating speed or more with respect to reduction of speed (S26). When the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is largely controlled, decelerating force of a vehicle is increased. When the decelerating force exceeds a prescribed value and the speed is not more than a restrict value (S34), the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is temporarily changed at a low level by a second control means (S36), and direct coupling of the directly coupled clutch is released by a direct coupling releasing means (S22).</p> |
