PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by preventing id from occurring that, during low speed running, an engine brake is brought into an excessive state. SOLUTION: A change gear ratio infinity transmission using a toroidal type continuously variable transmission comprises a hydraulic cylinder 30 to drive a power roller through a trunnion; and a +torque control valve 40, communicating with a port 46 inc and a -torque control valve 45 communicating with a port 46 dec which are situated downstream from a shift control valve 46 to control an oil pressure in the oil chambers 30A and 30B of the hydraulic cylinder 30 according to the operation state of a vehicle. During given low speed running, a differential pressureΔP2 between a control pressure Pc2 from the -torque control valve 45 to transmit torque in a direction reverse to an advancing direction and a feed pressure PL is set to 0 and torque on the engine brake side is suppressed. |
