PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an inorganic building material comprising an ash as a component, having flexibility and durability and capable of possessing performances such as lightweight properties, sound and heat insulating properties and fireproofness and fire resistance, and to provide a method for producing the inorganic building material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the building material comprises forming a composition comprising a hydraulic inorganic material, a resin material and water into a sheetlike state and then drying and solidifying the resultant sheetlike formed product by dehumidification. The building material is produced by drying the sheetlike formed product formed from the composition comprising the hydraulic inorganic material, resin material and water into the sheetlike state by dehumidification. The heat shrinkage percentage of the building material (JIS A 5705) is <=0.25%. |
