摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain lowering of control precision caused by fluctuation of fuel pressure generated by the first injection operation of an injector to prevent worsening of a fuel comsumption, increase of emission and drive feeling, when fuel is divided into two in a compression stroke of a cylinder to be injected in a divided compressed injection area of a high load side within a stratified charge combustion range, in a spark-ignition direct injection engine. SOLUTION: The first and second injection periods thtinj1, thtinj2 of split injection by an injector 12 are set to make an injection time intervalΔt from finish of the first injection upto start of the second injection shorter in a low speed side of an engine 1 than in a high speed side thereof, in the divided compressed injection area. A lower limit of an engine speed ne in this area is set to the first set speed nel to bring the time intervalΔt into a time intervalΔt0 required for convergence of the fluctuation of the fuel pressure caused by the first injection operation or more, taking the time intervalΔt0 into account.
