PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backpack which allows small articles to be easily put in or pulled out by a method wherein a small article pocket is attached to a backpack body so as to be pulled out so that small articles can be put into or taken out without the need of having to remove the backpack from the back. SOLUTION: A small article pocket 5 is attached to a backpack body 2 so as to be pulled out by means of a guide member, and elasticity is given to the guide member so that the pocket 5 is always pulled back toward the body 2. Under such conditions that the backpack body 2 is mounted on the back, if the pocket 5 is pulled out forward from a side of the body, small articles can be easily put in or taken out without the necessity to remove a backpack from the back.
