PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure for a board wherein a board for use as a top board or shelf board can be easily reinforced using a reinforcing bar, and a decrease in rigidity of the board in a direction normal to the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing bar can be limited to a minimum, while projection of the reinforcing bar from the board can be minimized. SOLUTION: A reinforcing bar 2 to be attached to the read side of a board 1 has two insertion parts 3, 4, parallel to each other, and a connection part 5 interconnecting both the parts 3, 4. Two parallel slits 6, 7, into which both the insertion parts 3, 4 are fitted respectively, are formed in the rear side of the board. The insertion parts 3, 4 are inserted into the slits 6, 7 respectively to fix the bar 2 to the board by means of a screw 8.
