摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an underlay mat for a perishable food, having both extremely excellent antimicrobial properties and germicidal properties. SOLUTION: This underlay mat having both antimicrobial properties and germicidal properties comprises a great number of active ingredients mainly of acetic acid, phenol, polyphenol, etc., contained in pyrolignous acid or an acid obtained by dry distillation of bamboo permeated into innumerable pores existing in carbon fiber to provide the carbon fiber with antimicrobial properties and germicidal properties since a sheetlike carbon fiber product immersed and treated in a heated treating solution consisting essentially of at least either pyrolignous acid or an acid obtained by dry distillation of bamboo. The underlay mat is repeatedly usable by disinfection with hot water, etc., and can exhibit antimicrobial properties and germicidal properties for a long period of time. The underlay mat exhibits excellent deodorization.
