PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod receiver having a sufficient strength for fishing a large-sized fish and surely nip the side of a boat so as not to remove the rod receiver mounted on the side of the boat from the side of the boat. SOLUTION: This rod receiver for a large-sized fish is obtained by installing a U-shaped rod receiving part 2 at one end and a mounting part 5 for a fixing part in order to mount the fixing part for the fishing rod capable of the fixing a holding part of the fishing rod at the other end, providing an upper frame unit 7 comprising an external thread 6 for the horizontal plane therein and placed on the side of the boat, arranging a mounting part 8 for a hole in the side of the boat for mounting on the hole in the side of the boat under the frame unit 7, separately installing a pressing frame 11 for the side of the boat having a vertical screw 10 therein, directed downward oppositely to the mounting part 8 for the hole in the side of the boat and nipping the side of the boat with the external thread 6 for the horizontal plane and the mounting part 8 for the hole in the side of the boat, screwing a protruding piece part 9, vertically moving the protruding piece 9 and nipping the side of the boat even from the vertical directions. The mounting part 8 for the hole in the side of the boat can be removed for the boat without the hole in the side thereof.
