摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system of an internal combustion engine, which deviates the valve lift timing from a conventional overlap position so as to prevent exhaust gas from counterflowing toward the intake side, in order to enhance the restarting ability of an internal combustion engine during a rest of the engine, which alleviates restraint on the timing of opening an exhaust valve and the timing of closing an intake valve so as to enhance the performance of the engine, and in which components such valve springs are commonly used on both intake side and exhaust side so as to reduce the installation cost and the manhours, the unit costs of components while prevents erroneous assembly of components. SOLUTION: The intake side valve spring attachment height of an exhaust valve spring differs from the exhaust side valve spring attachment height of an exhaust valve spring so that the intake side spring set load of the intake valve spring is different from the exhaust side spring set load of the exhaust valve spring.
