PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a closed water area which can efficiently execute purifying treatment from an arbitrary position even if a closed water area has a large fetch or a closed area is like an annular trench. SOLUTION: Plural enclosures 10 having a partition wall 30 making a round are connected between the opposite shores in a trench 1 to form a fixed dam 6 parting the trench 1. The plural similar enclosures 10 are connected along one side of the fixed dam 6 to form two-line moving dams 7, 8. Concerning the respective moving dams 7, 8, the internal water area of all enclosures 10 is purified, and then the moving dam 7 positioned inside to the fixed dam 6 is transferred to the outside of the moving dam 8 in the outer position. Hereafter, concerning the moving dam of the outer position, the internal water areas of all enclosures 10 are purified and then the moving dam in the outer position is transferred to the outside of the moving dam in the outer position.
