PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knit fabric having a steric structure, excellent high- stretchiness, stretch recovery, cushioning property, compression recovery, warmth retaining property, air-permeability, shape stability and high resistance to settling caused by repeated load application and suitable for upper material, sole insert, etc., of shoes, etc., having excellent appearance. SOLUTION: The knit fabric having steric structure is composed of surface and back knit fabrics having weft-knit texture and yarns joining the surface and back fabrics with each other. The surface and back knit fabrics contain a covered yarn produced by covering the circumference of a stretchable yarn with a non-stretchable yarn.
