PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a copy image which is larger in size than a reading region of a scanner device, read divided parts and synthesize the read data on one piece of master to output the synthesized data to be printed. SOLUTION: A copy image which is larger in size than a sheet is divided into a plurality of divided parts and these divided image parts are read through a plurality of divided reading procedures (S39). Then the data which is read is stored in the unit of data worth a single master (S43) and the data which is read and stored through a plurality of divided reading procedures, is synthesized into a region corresponding to the printing region of a single sheet to make up a single piece of master (S46). Under this constitution, the copy image which is larger in size than the reading region of a scanner device, is read in divided parts and the data which is read is synthesized on the single master and the synthesized data is output to be printed.
