PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous mold release agent for a urethane foam having good mold releasability and small stain of a mold due to a deposit. SOLUTION: The aqueous mold release agent for a urethane foam comprises a wax and a 24-45C aliphatic carboxylate. The release agent for the foam further comprises a nonionic surface active agent. In this case, as the wax, an oxide wax, a polyethylene wax, a natural wax, a liquid paraffin or the like can be used. As the preferable wax, the polyethylene oxide wax or the paraffin wax is used.
