摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure proper and smooth traveling of a vehicle by judging an engine condition after restarted to control an idling stopping mechanism. SOLUTION: This controller determines whether a hybrid vehicle is under an ascending condition or not (S5, S6), determines the level of vehicle weight with respect to prescribed weight when not under the ascending condition (S7, S8), then determines the presence of a direction indicating operation or hazard switch operation (S9), and determines the level of steering torque with respect to prescribed torque (S10, S11). When all the determinations are NO, a flag F is brought into zero (S12). The F=0 indicates the determination result that the restarting after idling stop is relatively easy, and the restarting after the idling stop is conducted without increasing a controlled variable for an engine in the engine starting. When uneasiness of the restarting is determined, modification such as increase of the controlled variable or change of a spark advance value is carried out.
