PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous rice washing apparatus which can minimize the consumption of water necessary for washing rice and the amount of crushed rice generated by the washing irrespective of the brand and background of rice and can obtain tasty rice of high quality. SOLUTION: In a rice washing apparatus having a screw conveyer 10 in which rice and water are supplied from one end and discharged from the other end, part of the rotary blade 16 of the conveyer 10 is omitted, and an agitation blade 20, the form of which is different from that of the rotary blade 16, is fitted to a rotary shaft 15. The agitating blade 20 can rotate at an desired angle to the rotary shaft 15 around a shaft passing through the diameter of the rotary shaft 15. A hollow part is formed in at least one part of the rotary shaft 15, and a rod-shaped adjusting tool 31 which rotates the agitation blade 20 is inserted from one end of the rotary shaft 15 into the hollow part. |
