Novel uses of mammalian ccr6 receptors and related reagents

Compositions and methods for using mammalian CCR6 and MIP-3alpha proteins to treat an abnormal physiological condition in an individual. The methods comprise administering a therapeutically effective amount of CCR6 or MIP-3alpha alone, or in combination with other therapeutic reagents; or a CCR6 or MIP-3alpha antagonist. Genetically-engineered animals and their use as models of molecular mechanism are also provided.
