PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule which can be easily mass-produced at a low manufacturing cost by injection-molding a resin material and shows high outer shape dimensional precision and also high coaxiality and a ferrule molding method. SOLUTION: The ferrule comprises a ferrule body 2 of resin having inserting holes 5a, 5b, 5c for an optical fiber terminal formed in a shaft center, a flange part 4 of resin formed protruding from the outer periphery of an intermediate part of the ferrule body 2 and an insert pipe 3 of a hard material fitted to the outer periphery of the ferrule body 2. In addition, the flange part 4 and the ferrule body 2 are joined together in one piece through a resin injection hole 7 formed in the insert pipe 3 in such a way that the insert pipe 3 is tightly held by the flange part 4 and the ferrule body 2. Further, a fitting recessed part 8 formed on an inner face at an opposite position to the resin injection hole 7 collaboratively holds the ferrule body 2 and the flange part 4 in place to the insert pipe 3.
