PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such nonconformity that a rigid fiber board containing activated carbon powder does not exist heretofore and activated carbon powder is not incorporated into the board in a stable state by a conventional technique. SOLUTION: The rigid fiber board is constituted of hot-pressing the mixed material containing short fiber (e.g. polyester of short fiber) 2, synthetic resin of low melting point (e.g. polyester of low melting point) 3 and activated carbon powder 4 and of sticking both the short fiber 2 and activated carbon powder 4 by the molten synthetic resin 3 of low melting point. Value added is given by activated carbon powder and also activated carbon powder can be incorporated into the board in a stable state.
