PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet which has a function for removing toxic gas such as formaldehyde, etc., has no possibility of harmful influence upon a human body and, further, can suppress the generation of toxic gas from a flooring side in an early stage. SOLUTION: A gas removal part 4 which removes a toxic gas such as formaldehyde, etc., generated from a flooring 1 is formed on the rear side of a carpet main part 3 which is made of fibers containing chitosan.
