PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine, such as a pachinko machine, accompanied by a varying display of identification information on an image display device, which game machine effectively livens up games and informs the information of the games. SOLUTION: A character is continuously displayed in part of a display screen beginning in a steady state before start of a game accompanied by variation of the display, and the type or mode of the character is changed to communicate the information of the game and liven up the game.
