PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of working a guard rail capable of easily recognizing the presence of the guard rail by running drivers by emitting light from the whole guard rail during night and exhibiting the effects of cleaning, deodorizing, sterilizing or the like of air around the guard rail. SOLUTION: The working method is composed of a 1st process for cleaning a base material of reflection plate, coating the surface of the base material with a white paint and baking at a low temperature, a 2nd process for spraying a light storing agent and firing at a low temperature after drying, a 3rd process applying a protective film on the base material and firing at a low temperature and a 4th process for spraying a PTA sol (amorphous titanic acid solution) on the base material and firing at a low temperature.
