摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate which maintains the surface and internal insulating properties of an insulating layer, even when chemical etching is performed for the patterning of copper foil and can be easily manufactured and further, shows superb heat resistance, high strength and outstanding high frequency magnetic properties in a copper foil-clad substrate with an insulating layer formed of a composite magnetic material consisting of a mixture of metallic magnetic powder and an insulating resin. SOLUTION: An insulating resin coating film is formed on copper foil and a paste containing metallic magnetic powder, a resin and a solvent is applied to the surface of the insulating resin coating film, and dried to obtain a copper foil-clad resin coating film having a metallic magnetic powder-containing resin coating film formed. Further, the copper foil-clad resin coating film with the metallic magnetic powder-containing resin coating film formed and a cloth base material (preferably a glass cloth) are laminated on each other so that the cloth base material comes into contact with the metallic magnetic powder- containing resin coating film side of the copper foil-clad resin coating film. Finally the laminate is thermally press-molded to obtain the substrate.
