Internal combustion engine has housing with cylindrical inner surface, cylinder block with cylinders arranged in parallel, and output shaft. Cylinder block has paired diametrically opposite cylinders arranged at maximum possible distance for this housing. Pistons act onto cylinder block through springs. Pistons are connected by rocker. Invention makes it possible to dispense with shaped guides. EFFECT: simplified design, increased efficiency of fuel usage, reduced wear of pistons and cylinders. 1 dwg
