PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrupt generation of shock even when a cushion rubber part collides on a cylinder head so as to improve riding comfortableness of vehicle. SOLUTION: This is a hydraulic damping device, in which a piston rod 2 is inserted into a cylinder 1 so as to be movable, a suspension spring 5 is interposed between a cylinder side spring seat 3 and a piston rod side spring seat 4, and a cushion rubber member 7 is provided to face a head part 1a on the side of the piston rod 2. In the device, an elastic body is provided in series with the member 7, one end of which is supported with a piston rod side spring seat 4, and the member 7 is normally energized to the side of cylinder 1 and is brought into contact with the head part 1a of the cylinder 1 normally or at the time when no person is on a vehicle. |
