DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SENSING TROUBLE USING PCI BUS MONITOR

PURPOSE: A device and method for sensing a trouble using a PCI(peripheral component interconnect) bus monitor is provided to sense a trouble of a general computer without using an additional board. CONSTITUTION: A general computer 'A' and a general computer 'B' have the same structure having a CPU board, a PCI bus, and a PCI bridge. The CPU board has a CPU, a local device, and a local bus for connecting the CPU and the local device. A plurality of PCI devices and a PCI monitor are connected to the PCI bus. The PCI monitor is connected to other PCI monitor of a corresponded computer through a network line and has an additional function for sensing a trouble by comparing PCI bus signals. The network line comprises a fast Ethernet of a fiber channel of 100 Mbps or a 10base-T/100base-TX. Each general computer has a duplexing structure responded to the corresponded computer. A plurality of general computers may be connected thereto. A plurality of general computers connected using a network line transmits interactive PCI bus contents to other computer through the network line. Each general computer senses a trouble by comparing it's PCI bus contents with PCI bus contents of other computer.
