METHOD FOR INITIALIZING SYSTEM AND DOWNLOADING IMAGE

PURPOSE: A method for initializing a system and downloading an image is provided to reduce an initialization time of a system by preventing a downloading process of unnecessary images. CONSTITUTION: A system board is initialized by a reset operation(111). A magic code is searched from a downloaded image(113). A CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) process is performed in a code area stored in a header if the magic code is stored in the downloaded image(115). Initialization data are copied from a pointing area of a pointer if the code area of the downloaded image is a normal state(117). A CRC process of the copied total image data and a CRC process of total image stored in the header are performed(119). An initialization process is performed by the downloaded image data if total image data are normal state(121). The downloaded image data are downloaded if the magic code is not stored in the downloaded image(123). A CRC process for a header of the downloaded total image is performed. A corresponding operation is performed by using the downloaded image data if the total image is in a state of the normal state.
