PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system capable of reducing a load of processing involved in changes of various status and configurations in a device itself. SOLUTION: When a color printer 101 on a network registers the device information in a directory server 112, the printer 101 divides the device information into various types of information which are static information, semi-static information and dynamic information in accordance with change frequency information of the device information and requests another device such as a PC 111 to perform processing that registers the device information in the server 112 in accordance with the divided types.
