PURPOSE: An energy storage system is provided to be capable of realizing a high density by using a high capacitance material as a cathode and a transformed valve metal foil as an anode. CONSTITUTION: A cell(40) consists of a cathode(50), an anode(60) and a polymer electrolyte(70). The polymer electrolyte(70) is disposed between the cathode(50) and the anode(60). The anode(60) and the polymer electrolyte(70) form the first capacitor, and the cathode(50) and the polymer electrolyte(70) form the second capacitor. The first capacitor between the anode and the electrolyte is made of negative ions and uses an oxide as dielectric. The cathode(50) is made of a high capacitance material, for example, active carbon, indicating a value over 40/g. |
