PURPOSE: A reflective liquid crystal device is provided to slim thickness of the liquid crystal device and to improve brightness and contrast of a screen by making a reflection layer with a multiple layer structure on the lower side glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: A reflection type liquid crystal device displays an image on a screen by reflecting at the reflection layer light that is incident from the external. The reflection layer(22) has a multiple layer structure in which the upper refraction layer and the lower refraction layer are deposited by turns. The upper refraction layer is made of ZrO2, TiO2, ZnSO4 and the lower refraction layer is made of MgF2 and CeF2. All of the upper refraction layer and the lower refraction layer are a dielectric substance. |
