PURPOSE: An apparatus for refunding parking charge and method thereof is provided to refund balance for residual time and guide it with voice during key input procedure or processing procedure. CONSTITUTION: A key matrix(32) is for inputting a refund request. A bar-code scanner reads the bar-code written on a refund ticket. A charge collector(40) collects parking charge. An interface circuit(34) sends output signal to a controller(50). A timer(60) counts parking time. The controller(50) calculates balance for residual parking time when the parking time fell short of full parking time and refunds the balance if the balance exceeds a minimum pay balance. An output interface circuit(38) is for delivering the output signal output from the controller(50). A printer(64) outputs a password number and the refund ticket in form of bar-code. A data transceiver(36) is for receiving data from a sensor. |
