APPARATUS FOR DETECTING DATA COLLISION USING IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting data collision using an identification number is provided to detect the data collision in LAN networks by using a circuit having an open drain buffer and a collision determining part. CONSTITUTION: A MAC controller(10) transform a data to be transferred to a MAC frame data and transfers it. The MAC controller(10) again transfers the transferred data when a collision signal is applied to it. A collision determining part(40) generates and outputs an identification number of the MAC controller(10). The collision determining part(40) compares the identification number with a received identification number and provides the collision signal to the MAC controller(10) if the identification number is not matched with the received identification number. An open drain buffer part(50) transfers the MAC frame data from the MAC controller(10) and the identification number from the collision determining part to LAN networks and receives the data transferred from the LAN networks to provide the received identification number to the collision determining part(40).
