PURPOSE: A locking device for a bicycle is provided to rapidly lock the bicycle by deeply inserting the locking rods of a shackle into locking holes even in a fully separated state of a key from a key holder. CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower locking bars(6,8) are maximally opened by rotating a cam(12) with the operation of a key holder(10). In this state, upper and lower locking rods(20,22) of a shackle are deeply inserted into locking holes(16,18) and enlargement bars(38,40) of the locking bars are retreated from supporting bars(30,32). After fully inserting the locking rods, the enlargement bars are advanced from the supporting bars with the restoring force of springs(48,50) and locked on the locking grooves since locking grooves(24,26) face the enlargement bars. Thus, the shackle locks a bicycle.
