LINEAR AMPLIFYING DEVICE HAVING IMPROVED EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A linear amplifying device having an improved efficiency is provided to have an excellent total distortion property of harmonics. CONSTITUTION: In a linear amplifying device, an adder(26) adds an offset voltage with an input voltage. A subtractor(28) subtracts the offset voltage from the input voltage. The first digital amplifier(20) amplifies the output of the adder digitally by a desired gain to output the amplified result. The second digital amplifier(22) amplifies the output of the subtractor digitally by a desired gain to the output the amplified result. A linear amplifier(24) inputs the result amplified in the first digital amplifier as a supply voltage and inputs the result amplified in the second digital amplifier as a reference voltage. The linear amplifier amplifies the input voltage linearly to output the amplified results as an output voltage.
