PURPOSE: An engine lubrication system is provided to enhance lubrication efficiency by using a drain pressure drained from an oil-hydraulic pressure regulator. CONSTITUTION: A lubrication system for an engine comprises an oil pan for storing and supplying oil and an oil pump sucking the oil from the oil pan with a strainer and delivering the oil to respective frictional parts of an engine. Herein, one end of a drain conduit(1) is mounted at an oil drain hole(3) of a hydraulic pressure regulator. Onto the drain conduit, an oil jet(2) is mounted corresponding to a piston(62). With RPM(Revolution Per Minute) over an idle level, the oil-hydraulic pressure generated from the oil pump pushes a plunger(52) against the elasticity of a spring(51) in the hydraulic pressure regulator. Thereafter the hydraulic pressure is discharged through the oil drain hole. Therefore, the hydraulic pressure supplied to a main conduit(60) is maintained uniform. By applying the drain pressure to lubrication of the lower portion of the piston via the oil jet, hydraulic loss is reduced. Further, lubrication efficiency is elevated.
