PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having the function of MP3 reproducing is provided to hear MP3 music with the mobile terminal by arranging a MPEC decoder, a MPEC encoder, an audio amplifier and MP3 driving program in the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(2) comprises a mobile station manager connected to an MPEC decoder to control the output of MP3 sound and telephone communication. A memory(4) is connected to the control unit(2) to stores an MP3 driving program. A MPEC decoder(6) is connected to the control unit(2) to decompress MP3 files received from MP3 providers via an antenna(14), according to the MP3 driving program from the memory(4) via the control unit(2). A CODEC(8) is connected to an MPEC decoder(6), and decodes digital MP3 files from the MPEC decoder(6) to analog sound signals. An audio amplifier(10) is connected to the CODEC(8) to amplify the sound signal from the CODEC(8). A telephone receiver(12) is connected to the audio amplifier(10), receives the sound signal from the audio amplifier(10), and outputs the MP3 sound for users.
