PURPOSE: A method for accessing data in a mobile communication system is provided to designate regular transmission time of each access probe transmitted from many MSs(Mobile Stations), and to transmit each access probe in the designated transmission time, so as to prevent the probes from being overlapped in a same time and to increase probability of the MSs being detected in BSs(Base Stations), when the MSs are simultaneously or randomly accessed. CONSTITUTION: An MS(Mobile Station) converts system time of a channel for being accessed to a BS(Base Station), with slot size units. The MS decides a transmission system time of an accessed probe. The MS compares the transmission system time with a present time. The MS transmits the probe according to a compared result, and transmits a next probe according to a predetermined transmission period. When the transmission system time is decided, the MS decides the transmission system time by using a hash function composed of an iterated hash function. The iterated hash function hashes an optional bit range of input, by dividing inputs into consecutive constant blocks.
