<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the aggregate service utilization time of an auction participant. SOLUTION: To an article which is a target of auction, a start price, an estimate price band and a lower limit price are preset. A server device for providing the service of auction starts the service from the set start prize and lowers the price to be presented for every lapse of prescribed time. The width of price-down is made into first scaling when the price presented at present is higher than the estimate price, into second scaling (smaller than first scaling) when the present price is within the range of the estimate price band and made into third scaling (smaller than second scaling) when the present price is lower than the estimate price band so that the curve of price-down can be made smooth with the passage of time. During this operation, when information showing the will to purchase the relevant article is transmitted through a network to the server device, a successful bid is determined with the price presented at that time and the auction is ended.</p> |
