PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength and make thin at the joint part, and to make the cathode-ray tube lightweight. SOLUTION: Frit for a joint part of a panel part 3 and a funnel part 4 comprises frit 1 at the central portion and a frit 2 which covers the peripheral region of frit 1. Frit 1 and frit 2 are formed of glass having difference properties. The panel part 3 and the funnel part 4 are bonded by frit 2.
