PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect the disconnection of a locating wire at a low cost. SOLUTION: This inspection method is used to judge wether nor not a locating wire 1 buried along a buried pipe is disconnected. Both ends of an inspection section of the locating wire 1 are connected through a power supply 18 to constitute an electric closed circuit 9, and a characteristic value showing the energizing state of the closed circuit is measured. When the measured characteristic value is within a range indicating no disconnection, it is judged that there is no disconnection.
