PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar water heater, in which the forward end part of a hot-water collecting pipe is prevented from sinking due to floating of a float on the hot water surface in a hot-water storage tank and high temperature hot water, can be taken out and delivered at all times, from the upper layer of the hot-water storage tank. SOLUTION: This solar water heater, comprising a heat collector and a hot water storage tank coupled through hot water circulation piping, is provided with a delivery hot water pipe joint, having a hot water outlet mounted on one side face of the hot water storage tank while penetrating the side face, a hot-water collecting pipe fixed to the delivery hot-water pipe joint, a tubular hot-water guide pipe having a flexible part at least a part of the hot-water collecting pipe, a float fixed to the forward end part of the hot water guide pipe, and a float-retaining part formed on the upper wall of the hot-water storage tank facing the float floating horizontally in the hot water storage tank, while projecting inward of the tank.
