PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead battery having terminals and electrolyte cell caps filled with a filler such as epoxy resin for preventing severing between the terminal and the filler layer to secure sealing, so that performance degradation due to leakage or poor sealing is prevented, thus improving reliability. SOLUTION: A metal terminal member 1 having a bolt 3 and nut 4 at one end is coated with a lead alloy layer 5, inserted into a hole 6a formed in the electrolytic cell cap 6. An opening formed around the hole 6a outward the electrolytic cell cap 6 is filled with a filler layer 7 to seal the gap between the electrolytic cell cap 6 and the metal terminal member 1. The lead alloy layer 5 is interposed between the filler layer 7 and the metal terminal member 1.
