PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demosaic method of an image capable of estimating defective information without generating color artifacts, such as color stripes generated by the conventional method which requires a large amount of calculation to estimate the defective information by detecting only one color at a prescribed sensor position, by generally using one sensor array in a single layer when data from a camera sensor is converted into a color image in a digital camera. SOLUTION: In this demosaic method of image, defective information is estimated without generating color artifacts by using a first function to measure a degree of roughness of a second image and a second function to measure the degree of change in the direction of a vector between adjacent positions in the second image.
