PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detector for liquid level gauge for detecting liquid leakage and gas leakage from a liquid level gauge visually detecting increase and decrease the level or maintaining state of the liquid in a closed vessel used in a system such as chemical device for distilling liquid such as ammonia improving safety. SOLUTION: Between a reflection glass 10 and a peep glass 18 of a liquid level meter 100 consisting of the reflection glass 10 sealed and fixed to an introduction pipe 7 fixed to a sealed vessel 6 and the peep glass 18 and the like sealed and fixed to a ground nut 14 screwed in the introduction pipe 7, a leak detector 1 instantaneously changing the color when liquid such as ammonia and the like touches is installed.
