METHOD FOR CONVERTING MODE USING REEL FREQUENCY GENERATION PULSE IN MAGNETIC RECORDING PLAYER

PURPOSE: A method for converting a mode using a reel frequency generation pulse in a magnetic recording player, is provided to use a reel frequency generator and a capstan frequency generator to convert a mode, so as to uniformly maintain a transfer amount of a tape. CONSTITUTION: If a key input is applied to convert a recording mode into a stop mode, a capstan motor is backward-rotated, and forward-rotated then stopped. And unloading reel FG(Frequency Generator) pulse is counted(S10). The generation number(alpha) of counted capstan FG pulse, until the unloading reel FG pulse is firstly generated right after the backward rotation, is memorized as the first generation number(alpha)(S20). The counting of the unloading reel FG pulse is ended and final generation number of the unloading reel FG pulse is memorized, to complete the mode conversion step(S30). If a key input for converting the stop mode into the recording mode is applied, the counting of loading reel FG pulse is started(S40). A final generation number of the loading reel FG pulse is memorized, and the generation number(gamma) of a loading capstan FG pulse, counted from a last loading reel FG pulse edge to stopping, is memorized as the second generation number(gamma)(S50). A result of subtracting the final generation number of the loading reel FG pulse from the final generation pulse of the unloading reel FG pulse is converted to the cycle of the capstan FG pulse. And a difference value between the first generation number(alpha) and the second generation number(gamma) is calculated to decide the number of capstan FG pulse to be finally compensated(S60). Correction is performed to uniform a tape transfer amount, to complete the mode conversion step(S70).
