HIGH EFFICIENT ELECTRONIC BALLAST

PURPOSE: A high efficient electronic ballast is provided to increase the filament usage by minimizing the current flow through a lamp starter at steady state, and to maximize the lamp life by controlling the preheating current and the preheating time. CONSTITUTION: The high efficient electronic ballast comprises an electronic ballast(110) for oscillating the high frequency voltage to turn on a lamp(130), a resonance circuit connected to the lamp for generating the resonance voltage according to the oscillated high frequency voltage and for applying it to the lamp, and a starter for generating the preheating current on the basis of the initial resonance voltage. The starter turns off the lamp at steady state.
